James P. Finch, age 88, of Walbridge, Ohio passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2016. Jim was born to Fred H. and Eleanor L. Finch on April 6, 1928. He was married to Virginia M. Wunderlin on April 18, 1947. Jim worked at L.O.F. for 37 ½ years, retiring in January of 1985. Jim enjoyed camping, fishing, traveling and bowling. He loved working in his workshop making anything out of wood. He also was a handyman fixing anything for his neighbors, friends and family.
Leaving behind are his lovely wife, Virginia; sister, Donna Conner, daughters, Patricia J. TenEyck of Toledo, Paula M. Rawlings of Rossford; son, Richard (Cindy) Finch Sr. of Walbridge, nine grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren , two great-great granddaughters and many nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Fred Jr., George, Harold and Carl and his sisters, Mary Jane Pringle and Gladys McKinley.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd, Oregon, on Sunday, May 15, 2016 from 2-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Lake Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Mainstreet U.B. Church.
