Hugh Miles Betts

Hugh M. Betts, age 88, of Curtice, OH passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at home surrounded by family.  He was born on July 3, 1934 in Barnesville, OH to Hugh and Pearl Betts.  Hugh was a graduate of Milan High School and served in the U.S. Army, during the Korean War.  He worked as a truck driver for Ford Motor Company, retiring in 2000.  He was a loving person who enjoyed shopping, cars, watching T.V., and was an avid Michigan Wolverine fan.  He will be dearly missed.

Hugh is survived by his wife of 38 years, Patricia Rader Betts; children, Dawn Marie Willard, Douglas Hugh Betts, Ronald (Jean) Rader and Brian (Ashley) Rader; grandchildren, Douglas Betts, Amanda Willard, James Willard, Justin Willard, Carleena (Brian) Kingery, Issiac Rader, Anna Rader, Brandon Rader, and Erin Rader; and numerous great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Jeremy.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Thursday, August 11, 2022, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday in the funeral home.  Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
