Helen Marie Jacso, age 86 of Toledo, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at Mercy-St. Charles Hospital. She was born in Toledo on September 4, 1928 to John and Rose Szabo. Helen was a graduate of Waite High School and married her husband, Paul on May 28, 1949. They shared 57 years together until his passing in 2007. Helen worked various places over the years including, Tony Packo’s Catering, Reids Variety Store, Pinkerton Tobacco and Hulhurst Tools.
Helen was a proud Hungarian, she enjoyed gardening and tending to her immaculate yard and flowers. She was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church, the Hungarian Club and in her younger years the mother’s club.
Helen is survived by her children: Jennifer R. (Gordon) Fisher-Wend, Paula M. (Keith) Reynolds and Paul J. (Judy Lynn) Jacso; grandchildren: Jarrod (Julie) Fisher, Juston (Jessica) Fisher, Andrea (Chad) St. John, Melissa (Chad) Webster, Nathan (Tiffany) Reynolds and Jessica Jacso; step grandchildren: Jeanne Wend, Allison (Eric) Sitter, Andy (Anna) Wend and Dana (Kelly) Wend; great-grandchildren: Colette, McKenna, Chase, Dalton, Ryder, Valentin, David and Avalynn; step great-grandchildren: Madison, Gracie, Ariel, Ian, Alex and Jackson. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Paul; sister, Eszmer Juhasz and brother, John Szabo.
A memorial mass will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Epiphany of the Lord Parish -St. Stephen Catholic Church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Freck Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be given to the Hungarian Club.
