Harry Richard Walters Sr.

Harry R. Walters, age 86, of Erie, Michigan passed away on Friday, February 21, 2025 at ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital surrounded by family. He was born on June 27, 1938 in Toledo, Ohio to Harry E. Walters Jr. and Margaret M. Heuring. Harry was a 1957 graduate of Central Catholic High School. He worked as a driver and salesman for Wonder Bread for many years. Harry loved watching football, especially Notre Dame. He was often found relaxing, listening to Elvis and Frank Sinatra. He will be dearly missed.

 Harry is survived by his sons, Harry "Ricky" (Kimberley) Walters Jr., John (Katelyn) Walters, and James “Jimmy” Walters; grandson, Ben Walters; sister, Kathleen Baranowski; brother, Jim “Wally” (Kathleen) Walters and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by is parents; brothers, Robert and John; and brother-in-law, Mike.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Thursday, February 27, 2025 from 10 – 12:00 p.m. where a Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the ASPCA.
