Gladys
Gladys Hirth, 92, of Walbridge, OH passed away on Monday, August 25, 2014 at the Hospice of Northwest Ohio Perrysburg Center. She was born on September 19, 1921 to Walter and Amelia (Bonseigneur) Mooney in East Toledo. She graduated from Waite High School in 1941. Starting in 1956 she was employed as a switch board operator for the Toledo Clinic at the Collinwood and Secor Rd. locations, retiring in 1989.
Gladys is survived by her sons, Albert “Skeet” Mercer and Gregory (Jackie) Mercer; daughters, Suzanne (Ken) Zeh and Patricia Dodsworth-Gunn; stepsons, Larry (Verol) Hirth and Ron Hirth; 9 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Don Mercer and Larry Hirth; brother, Bill Mooney; sister-in-law, Alta Mooney; son –in-law, John Gunn; infant son, Donald; granddaughter, Carrie (Dodsworth) Packer; grandson, Joe Mercer and nephew, Walter Mooney.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel on Friday, August 29, 2014 from 2-7 p.m. Funeral services will be private. Burial will take place at Lake Twp. Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
