Gladys H. Lutes

Gladys H. Lutes, age 98, of Northwood, OH, passed away Sunday, July 9, 2023. She was born in Woodville, OH to Gotlieb and Ella (Tittle) Layman on February, 13, 1925. Gladys married the love of her life, Jay, and together they spent many happy years until his passing in 2010. She worked as a housekeeper for Millers & Fairlane Motel Cleaning and later for the Walbridge Bank.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Susan (Jon) Schwander, David (Rhonda) Lutes, Timothy Lutes, Larry (Ruth) Lutes, and Theresa (Tom) Spade; her 35 grandchildren; her 19 great-grandchildren; and her 5 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jay; her parents, Gotlieb and Ella; and her siblings, Geraldine, Kenneth, Ralph, Russell, Eilleen, Phyllis, Willard, and Mildred.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Friday, July 14, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. with the funeral service to be held at 12:00 p.m. Gladys will be laid to rest with her husband at Lake Township Cemetery.
