Gilberto R. Revilla

Gilberto R. Revilla age 88 of Toledo passed away Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio-Toledo. Gilberto was born to Genovevo and Antonia (Reyes) Revilla on May 9, 1935 in San Antonio, Texas. He was a graduate of Clay High School and went on to work for the Kroger Company for 45 years in various positions retiring in 2000 as a company auditor. Gilberto loved to spend time with family especially taking long drives or camping. In his retirement, he could be found fishing, doing yard work or watching sports.

Gilberto is survived by his children Teresa Decair, Ramon (Kelly) Revilla, Marcos (Angie) Revilla, and Pablo Revilla; grandchildren Monica (Brian) Stevenson, Nick (Dannielle) Decair, Rollie (Mariah) Worthington, Michael (Julia) Revilla, Matthew Revilla, and Jennifer Revilla; great-grandchildren Emelia, Jackson, Nicholas, Baker, Rollie Jr., Izaiah, Izalia, Lucas and Amelia; siblings Adelaida, Yolanda, Rogelio, Sylvia, Daniel, Anna (Robert), Esther, and Maria and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Genovevo and Antonia, step-father Candelario, wife Barbara Jean Revilla, son-in-law Charles Decair and brothers Carlos, Armando, and Jesus.

Visitation will be held at Freck Funeral Chapel 1155 S Wynn Rd in Oregon on Friday June 30, 2023 from 3 until 8 p.m. with Recitation of the Rosary at 7 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church 434 Eastern Ave. in Toledo on Saturday at 10 a.m. where family will receive friends one hour prior. Burial will follow at St. Ignatius Cemetery. Memorial contributions are appreciated to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
