Born May 12, 1931 in Joliet, IL and died peacefully on May 24, 2024 in Oregon, Ohio.

Gil spent his early years in Connecticut, moving to Toledo as a teenager. He graduated from Waite High School.  After graduation, Gil served in the Navy during the Korean Conflict and in the Army, spending 2 years in Germany. He graduated from University of Toledo School of Pharmacy and was a Pharmacist at Lane's and Rite-Aid throughout his career.

He spent most of his life in Maumee where he enjoyed entertaining family and friends in Maumee on his beautiful deck as well as at Port Clinton.  Music was a big part of his life. He loved jazz and big band genres. He went to the Jazz Festival in New Orleans numerous times.

Gil traveled throughout the world (Tahiti Island, Azores Islands, Cuba and Europe).  Germany was his favorite place.   Annually, he attended and helped in the local German Festival. He was a collector of Beer Steins and many other unique items.   He was a devoted patron to the annual Birmingham Ethnic Festival.

Gil is survived by his Nieces: Christine (Tom) Payne, Carol (Brian) Hendricks, Connie (Randy) Szabo Schmucker, Clarissa (Ed) Moholick and Carla Fincher, along with numerous great nieces and nephews. Preceded in death:  Parents-Gilbert and Helen Molnar; Sister-Madelyn (Steven) Szabo; Nieces- Sandy Creswell and Colette Szabo and numerous Aunts and Uncles.

Private graveside services will be held in Illinois with Family.
