Gerald "Corky" Murray, Sr.

Gerald F. Murray, Sr. 79, of Toledo, Ohio passed away on Friday, December 3, 2021.  He was born on February 22, 1942 in Toledo, Ohio to Richard and Lucille Murray.  Gerald was a graduate of Macomber High School and worked many years as a salesman.  In his younger years, Gerald enjoyed bowling and dancing.  He was a competitive dancer with his wife, Betty and later became a dance instructor.  Gerald loved traveling, taking family vacations and trips to casinos.  He was a people person; he never met a stranger.  Gerald was often found smiling and telling jokes.  He will be dearly missed.

Gerald is survived by his children, Dawn (Darryl) Beecham, and Gerald (Tonya) Murray Jr; grandchildren, Gerald (Dallas) Murray III, and Lynley (Drake) Murray; great-grandchildren, Bentley Murray, and Jim Cosgrove; siblings, Kenneth Weirich, Ed (Emily) Weirich, Linda (Dooley) Lawson, and Sandy (Doug, Sr) Holan; special friend, Mary Anne Sperry and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.  He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty Murray; great-grandson, Gerald Murray IV; and siblings, Richard, Robert, and Donald Murray, Donna Jean Wells, and Carol Von Ahrens.

Per Gerald’s wishes no services will be held. Arrangements entrusted to Freck Funeral Chapel.
