Gerald William (Jerry) Lohmeyer Jr.

Gerald (Jerry) Lohmeyer Jr., 63, of Fremont, IN passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2020, at home surrounded by his family. Jerry was born and raised in Toledo, OH. He graduated from Woodward High School in 1974.
Jerry is survived by his mother, Marjorie Laytart of Toledo, OH; his wife, Monica; his daughters, Vicky Lohmeyer of Toledo, OH, Wendy (Jason) Caskey of Fremont, IN, Jeanette (John) Dager of Hamilton, IN, and Hayley (Zachary Beaty) Vipond of Thomasville, NC..  He is also survived by his sisters, Tina (James) Fisher of Toledo, OH, Marguerite (David) Imlay of Curtice, OH and Jill (Bill) Trendel of Toledo, OH; grandsons,  Austin and Mason; granddaughters, Maddison, Abbigail, and Lillian; step-sister, Deborah (Dan) Russell of Scottown, OH; sister-in-law, Denesse (Christopher) Ferrara of Fremont, IN; brother-in-laws Jonathan May of Angola, IN and Douglas (Katie) May of Toledo, OH; and many nieces and nephews.
Jerry had a passion for bowling, golfing, fishing, and spending time with his family. Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Lohmeyer Sr., step-father, Donald Laytart, and his step-brother, Donald Laytart II.
Visitation will be held for friends and family at Freck Funeral Chapel Thursday, April 30, 2020 from 3 until 8 p.m. Funeral Services will be private. A live stream of the service will be available Friday at 11 a.m. on the Freck Funeral Chapel Facebook Page. Burial will be held at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.  The family will have a celebration of life later this summer.
