George F. Rogers

George F. Rogers, age 76, of Toledo, passed away, unexpectedly on, Sunday, July 7, 2013 at his home. He was born in Pulaski, Virginia on May 29, 1937 to Benjamin and Callie (Mabe) Rogers. For 31 years, he worked as a machinist for Chrysler until his retirement. George enjoyed rooting for the Dallas Cowboys, Baltimore Oriels or Mark Martin of NASCAR.

He is survived by his children, Marie (Billy) Whitt, Frank (Barbi) Rogers, Wanda (Darryl) Russeau, Carolyn (Dan) Benavides and Teresa (Randy) Harris; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; companion, Linda Olic; ex-wife, Phyllis Rogers; siblings, Joe, Tom and Fred and many nieces and nephews. George was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Cassandra and brothers, Jack and Bob.

A memorial gathering will be held from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, July 13, 2013 in the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S Wynn Rd., Oregon, where a veterans service will take place at 3 p.m. Burial will be private. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider his family.
