George M. Pope, 48, of Toledo passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 23, 2017. He was born on September 10, 1968 in Toledo to Fred and Margaret (Honas) Pope. George worked as a truck driver most of his life recently driving for T.W. Metals. He loved riding his motorcycle with the Lost Riders and cherished times spent with all his family.
George is survived by his loving children: Corey (Heather Thayer) Pope, Chelsea (Ryan Garber) Pope and Kyle Pope; siblings: Joseph (Monica) Pope Sr., Becky (Reno) Sanchez, Tina (Steve) Bushroe, Lisa, Michelle and Amanda Willoughby; mother of his children, Cindy Rohdy; brother-in-law, Lupe DeAnda and close nephews: Joseph Jr. and Justin Pope along with many others. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Kaitlyn Pope and siblings: Judy DeAnda and Michael Pope.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 from 2-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Memorial contributions are appreciated to his children.
