Gene Kenneth Arnold

Gene K. Arnold, age 73, formerly of Northwood, Ohio passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2025 in Olean, New York. He was born on March 29, 1951 in Oregon, Ohio to Eugene and Lois (Lay) Arnold. Gene was a graduate of Clay High School and served in the U.S. Air Force Reserves. He worked for Oregon City Schools as a custodian mainly at Coy Elementary School, retiring in 2011.

Gene was a member of the Christ Dunberger American Legion Post 537 and part of their color guard. He enjoyed spending time at the Oregon Senior Center and was a member of Intersection Church in Oregon prior to moving to NY.

 Gene is survived by his daughter, Erin (Jim) Lenchak; and his niece Kimberly Turkington (PJ Kapfhammer). He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sandra; brother, Jeff and sister, Jackie.

 Family and friends may visit Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Saturday, February 1, 2025 from 10-12:00 p.m. where services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park.
