Gayle Lee Szymanski, age 55, of Northwood, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at Northwest Ohio Hospice. She was born on May 13, 1956 to Nolan and Gretchen “Anne” (Katon) Kleinhans.
Gayle worked as a quality control supervisor for Doyle Shamrock. In her spare time she enjoyed country music, old movies and watching cartoons, especially Curious George with her grandchildren.
Gayle is survived by her loving and devoted children, Donna (Jeffrey) Veroneau, Rachel Szymanski, Franklin “J.R.” (Ashley) Damon Jr. and Michael (Rayetta) Buffington-Damon; 23 grandchildren; siblings, Robert Katon, Jeanne (Frank) Marlow, Margaret (Will) Hartford, William (Roberta) Kleinhans, Nancy (Roger) Tatge, Linda (David) Roznoski and Bonnie (Franklin) Damon; father of her children Frank Damon Sr. and best friend, Kathy Ware.
Gayle was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ronald; sister, Betty Kleinhans.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Monday, April 9th 2012 from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. Funeral services will be in the Funeral Chapel at 11 a.m. on Tuesday the 10th. Burial will follow at Willow Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the family, Northwest Ohio Hospice, or the American Cancer Society.
