Gary J. Mittendorf, 65, of Perrysburg, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2014. He was born on May 22, 1948 in Toledo, OH to Lawrence and Louise (Walker) Mittendorf. Gary was employed as a Railroad Engineer, a sales manager and started Mittendorf painting working there for 13 years. He served in the Air Force during Vietnam. Gary was a member of the American Legion Post 525 in Adena, OH. In his spare time he enjoyed a drink with friends or planning the next hunting trip with his family. Gary will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his children, Aaron (Julie), Daniel, and Elissa (Dax Brady-Sheehan) Mittendorf; grandchildren Caroline, Hunter, Reed, Grace and Nora; sister, Joanne (Dave) Row, as well as many other family and friends. Gary was preceded in death by his parents.
Family and friends may visit from 2 to 8 pm on Friday, February 28, 2014 in the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Ignatius Catholic Church. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Legion Post 525 in Adena, OH.
