Gary Dingess, 53, of Toledo, OH passed away on Friday, August 12, 2016 at ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital in Monroe, MI. He was born April 20, 1963 in Detroit, MI to Taylor and Janice (Farley) Dingess. Gary worked as a machine operator with Johnson Controls for 32 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed working on cars, playing guitar, listening to rock music and riding his motorcycle. Gary always had a love for West Virginia. He had a heart of gold, was selfless and a very hard worker. Gary’s family was his pride and joy, but none more than his grandchildren. Everyone that was lucky enough to have known Gary will miss him dearly.
Gary is survived by his wife, of 8 years Dawn Dingess; children, Jessica, Andrea, Amanda and Jacob Dingess; 6 stepchildren; grandchildren, Rowan Gary and Mason Isaiah Dingess; 11 step-grandchildren; parents; mother and father-in-law’s, Lyn (Mary) Lymond and Bonnie (Bob) Lymond; siblings, Norma (Mark), Barb, Sandra (Pat), Greg and Michelle (Jon) and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Silas Rodgers.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd, Oregon on Thursday, August 18, 2016 from 12pm to 8pm. His funeral service will begin at 11am on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at New Belleville Ridge Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
