Fred L. Rogers, of Oregon died Sunday, March 5, 2017 at the age of 77, surrounded by his loving family. He attended Waite high School and from there enlisted in the U.S. Army to honorably serve our country for 12 years. He received a Purple Heart for his service during Vietnam. After his honorable discharge, Fred was a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, retiring after 24 years.
He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia (Smith) Rogers; children, Rocky (Kristie) Rogers, Kelly (George) Molter and Shelly (Ron) Ritter; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and brother, Thomas (Kathy) Rogers. Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Callie Mae Rogers and brothers: Joe, Jack, Robert and George.
In honoring the family’s wishes, services will be private. The arrangements are being handled by Freck Funeral Chapel.
