Fred C. Chandler, age 77, of Northwood, passed away Sunday, October 30, 2011. Fred was born Sept. 19, 1934 to Allen and Vella (Lawson) Chandler in Mount Hope, West Virgina. Fred served our country in the U.S. Army and worked for over 35 years at Libbey Owens Ford as a Glassworker. He was an avid reader and loved bird watching. He was especially fond of Eagles. He also enjoyed whittling, tinkering with clock and watch repair, western movies, blue grass music and conversation. Though he resided in Ohio since the age of 18, his heart was with the mountains of his birth place.
Fred is survived by his children, Fred Chandler Jr. and Cynthia (Tibor Jr.) Agoston; 3 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sisters, Gladys Davis, Jean Polk and Mary Lou Fowler; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded death by his parents; siblings, Betty Hoylman, Susan Cromwell, Allen Chandler Jr. and Don Chandler Sr. Honoring Fred’s wishes, there will be no services. Fred will be laid to rest in Elliston Cemetery, Graytown, Ohio. “With loving memories and touched lives, Love you Dad.”
