Frank E. Fisher, Jr.

Frank E. Fisher, Jr., 84, of Northwood, Ohio passed away on Friday, November 22, 2013 at the Arbors at Oregon Nursing Home.  He was born on April 8, 1929 in Toledo, Ohio to Frank E. Fisher, Sr. and Eva Easterwood.  Frank married Ruth Thomas on November 9, 1946 and together they raised 3 children.  He installed floors, cabinets and countertops for many years before starting his own building company.  He ran Frank E. Fisher Building for 36 years building many homes in the area.

Frank and his wife were avid Western Square Dancers for 25 years.  They enjoyed snowmobiling and traveling and were fortunate to travel to every state in the U.S., to various Canadian Providences and Mexico.  In his younger years, he loved hunting and fishing.

Frank is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Ruth Fisher; children:  Dale (Helen) Fisher, Kathleen (Dennis) Lark and Sandra Armstrong; 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and sister, June DeCant.  He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Edward, Oran, Kenneth, Charles, Clifford, Raymond, Cecil, James and William and his sisters, Ethel and Clover.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S Wynn Rd., Oregon on Monday, November 25, 2013, from 11-1 p.m. where funeral service will be held at 1 p.m.  Private burial will take place at Toledo Memorial Park.
