Francisca Almaguer, 85, of Tampa, FL passed away on February 17, 2014 at Melech Hospice House. She was born on October 10, 1928 in Lyford, TX, to Manuel and Bruna (Valdez) Almaguer. Francisca had many different jobs in her early years but found her true gifts were as a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, Crocheting, Sewing and caring for her children and grandchildren. She was wonderful with animals and found relaxation watching Hallmark movies with a good cup of coffee and her birds and dog Dolly. She was a foundation for her family and will be deeply missed.
Francisca is survived by her children, Maria Mercedes Alvarez, Esther Rodriguez (Pam Henson), Salvador Rodriguez, Christina Sohnly, Maria Mercedes Hipp (Richard Hipp); daughter-in-law, Marie Almaguer; 19 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren plus countless nieces and nephews, brothers and sisters from Texas and Mexico along with sons and daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren that she claimed along the way. She was preceded in death by her parents; and children, Guadalupe Almaguer and Juan Jose Almaguer.
Family and friends may visit Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Friday, February 21, 2014 from 2-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Melech Hospice House or Epiphany of the Lord Parish.
