Evelyn Joanne Burson

Joanne Burson, 85, of Toledo, Ohio passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2022 at Majestic Care Center.  She was born on November 1, 1936 in Toledo, Ohio to Raymond and Lelah Cole.  Joanne was a graduate of Waite High School.  Joanne married the love of her life Richard Burson on July 25, 1959 and together they raised their four children.  She and Richard enjoyed going to hockey games and vacationing with their friends in Lewiston, Michigan every summer.  She was a lifelong member of Martin Luther Lutheran Church.

Joanne leaves behind her children, Shawn Burson, Boni (John) Segura, Tracey (Jack) Rasar, and Richard Burson, Jr; 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard Sr.; daughter, Vivian Mae Burson; grandson, Adam Burson; brothers, Ray and Jim and her sister, Vivian.

Family and friends may visit the  Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. where services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Private burial will take place at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.  Memorial contributions can be made to Kind Hearts Hospice.
