Eugene "Bandit" Ulrich

Eugene “Bandit” Ulrich 69, of Millbury, Ohio passed away on Sunday, February 27 2022 at Mercy Health-St Vincent Medical Center. He was born on April 7,1952 in Iowa Falls, Iowa to Leowen and Grace (Ites) Ulrich (surviving).  Eugene began his career as a truck driver right out of high school at the age of 18. He was an owner-operator, retiring after 51 years.  He then began towing new and FEMA campers part-time.

He was known as a big, kind, teddy bear with a heart of gold.  His hobbies, besides driving across the United States, were karaoke, drinking fireball with angry orchard, training misunderstood iron haulers, and sharing numerous stories.  He was known for his distinct heartfelt laugh.

He is survived by his wife, Theresa (Mominee) Ulrich., children:  Dan Ulrich (Michelle), Randy Bodi (Pennie Wood), Steven Bodi (Jennifer), Jennifer (Cory) Taylor, Laurie Stevens; 20 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren; Sister: Susan (Lynn) Schermer; 3 Sisters-in- law and 2 Brothers-in-law, and many loved family members and friends, including members of Stony Ridge Country Club, VFW,  and bunco, and enduring camping group.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S Wynn Rd in Oregon, Ohio on Sunday, March 6,2022 from 2:00-8:00 pm, where a time of sharing will take place at 6:00 pm.  A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00am on Monday, March 7, 2022 at Our Lady of Mt Carmel Catholic Church, 1105 Elliston Rd Martin, Ohio 43445.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the family.
