Eugene Sutherland

Eugene Sutherland, 82, of Lima, Ohio passed away Thursday, March 25, 2021 surrounded by his loving family.  He was born in Haleyville, AL on November 27, 1938 to Will and Willie (Walker) Sutherland.  Eugene worked for many years as a diesel mechanic.  He loved music and played and sang in several country bands.

Eugene leaves behind the love of his life, Betty; 6 children; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and 3 sisters. He is preceded in death by his parents and 8 siblings.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Monday, March 29, 2021 from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. when the funeral service will begin at 12:30 p.m. Eugene will be laid to rest at Willow Cemetery, Oregon, OH.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
