Eugene E. Compton, 81, of Toledo passed away on March 20, 2012. He was born on October 27, 1930 in Matewan, W.V. to Emory and Wadie Compton. Eugene worked as a dispatcher for Red Ball Trucking Co. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1951-1963.
He is survived by his children: Robert Compton, Daryl Compton and Sean Compton; sisters, Ruth Miller and Ruby (Vater) Webb; brothers, William (Sharon) Compton, James (Marilyn) Compton and Willard (Dorris) Compton.
Family and friends may visit Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Sunday, March 25th, 2012 from 3-8 p.m. where funeral services will be held on Monday, March 26th at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Elliston Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Freck Funeral Chapel on the family’s behalf.
