Eugene A. Flick

Eugene A. Flick, age 91, of Oregon, Ohio passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at Ebeid Hospice.  He was born on December 29, 1930 in Toledo, Ohio to Orville and Mary (Kavisch) Flick.  Eugene was a 1948 graduate of Harris-Elmore High School and served in the United States Navy, during the Korean War.  Eugene worked in Quality Control at Libbey Owens Ford for 33 years, retiring in 1982.  He was married for nearly 67 years to his wife, Joanne before her passing in November. Eugene was an avid Ohio State Buckeye and Detroit Tigers fan.  He was a member of the Arthur Daly American Legion Post 334, the Swiss Society and the GBU.  Eugene volunteered many hours at the German American Festivals over the years.  He will be dearly missed.

Eugene is survived by his children, Jill Sandoval, Ronald (Sandy) Flick, Connie Butler, and Mary (Douglas) Stage; grandchildren, Jeffrey (Megan) Wietrzykowski, and Jamie (Michael) Adams; four step grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and one great great-grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Joanne Flick; grandson, Mark Flick; step granddaughter, Melanie Cranmore; brothers, Orville “Donald”, Richard, and Jerry Flick and sons-in-law, Jim Wietrzykowski, Don Sandoval and Keith Butler.

Private graveside services will be held at Restlawn Memorial Park.  Memorial contributions can be made to Ebeid Hospice.
