Ethel Jane Jones

Ethel J. Jones, age 78, of Toledo, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at McLaren-St Luke’s Hospital.  She was born on June 23, 1944 in Toledo, Ohio to Guy and Nina (Fuller) Shiffler.  Ethel loved spending time with her family, especially with the grandbabies.  Family was everything to her.  Ethel enjoyed fishing with her friends, playing scratch off Bingo and crossword puzzles.  She will be dearly missed.

Ethel is survived by her daughters, Wendy Engelhardt, and Shirley Jones; stepchildren, Carla Harris, and Gordon Snyder; grandchildren, Branden Jones, Christy (Brian) Smith, Brandon (Rosetta) Morris, and Victoria Engelhardt; great-grandchildren, Branden Jones Jr, Gabriel Jones, Brooklynn Morris, Aiden Morris, Brian Smith Jr, Peyton Cain, and Luna Engelhardt; and her sisters, Shirley Rassman, Margie (Walter) Mattox, Evelyn Shelhart, and Kay McNutt.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter; brothers, Ernie, Buzzy, Herman, Russell Shiffler, and Robert Bliss; and many extended family members.

A memorial gathering will be held at Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Sunday, October 30, 2022, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. where services will be held at 4:00 p.m.  Private inurnment will take place at Forest Cemetery.  Memorial contributions can be made to family.
