Ethel M. Butch, 73, of Toledo passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2011 at the Heartland of Oregon. She was born on February 13, 1938 in Toledo to Jesse and Frances Best. Ethel was a 1955 graduate of Waite High School and married her husband, Allen Butch Sr. the following year. She was involved with helping the Democratic Party in the Toledo area for many years. Ethel had a knack for finding people and was instrumental in helping many adopted children and their families reunite. She was a member of the former E.T.C.O. and N.A.A.C. organizations.
Ethel is survived by her loving son, Allen Jr. (Carrie) Butch, grandchildren: Adam J. Butch, Dakota Holten, Katrina J. Butch and Senika Allyn Butch; nephews, Randy and John Powers and nieces, Carolyn (Tom) Brown and Mary Lou (Tony) Ruffing. Ethel was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Allen Sr., brother, Jesse Best Jr. and sister, Marilyn Stivers.
