Emma Madeline Harmer

Emma Madeline Harmer, 77, of Oregon, OH, passed away Sunday, December 26, 2021. She was born May 12, 1944 in Oregon, OH to William and Emma Schnee. She was a graduate of Waite High School. On February 23, 1963, she married the love of her life, Walter Harmer, and together they raised their family. She enjoyed gardening and tending to her flower beds. Emma was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many.

Emma leaves behind her loving husband of 58 years, Walter; her children, Bryan (Janet) and Kimberly (Ted); her step-children, Patricia (Jerry) and Susan (Terry); her 13 grandchildren; many loving great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Leo and Agnes. She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Dawn; her step-daughter, Janice; and her siblings.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. and Emma will be laid to rest at Oakwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions in her name may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
