Emery L. Hendricks
Emery L. Hendricks, 79, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away Friday, April 18, 2014 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio Center in Perrysburg. He was born in Toledo, OH on December 30, 1934 to Joseph and Margaret (Muranyi) Hendricks Sr. Emery served in the U. S. Merchant Marines. He retired from Wonder Bread / Hostess bakery to start E. Hendricks & Son Painting. Emery owned and operated it for 28 years until retiring in 1998. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, bowling and archery.
He is survived by his loving wife, of 51 years, Mary Hendricks; son, Jeffrey A. (Tamara) Hendricks; grandchildren, Aubrey, Madison and Ross Hendricks; great-grandchildren, Gabrielle Meadows, Maria LaPoint, Leihland Hendricks and Carter Clark; sister, Patricia (Louis) Torda and sister-in-law, Vickie Hendricks. Emery was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Jeffrey J. Hendricks; brothers, Joseph Jr. and Patrick Hendricks.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 from 3-8 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Ignatius Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to his family.
