Elvira Hernandez age 87, of Toledo passed away April 11, 2012 at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center. Elvira was a very spiritual person best known for her many blessings and love for her children and grandchildren. She loved Mexican music and dancing. She is survived by her children; SFC Jose’ ( Nam Suk Sim) Becerra, US Army Retired of South Korea, Juan Becerra, Victor (Bev) Hernandez, Lupe Hernandez and Anita Hernandez, 19 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; 13 great great-grandchildren and many family members. Elvira was preceded in death by her husbands, Jose Beserra and Juan Hernandez; parents, Narciso and Luz (Garcia) Gonzalez; son, Mario Hernandez; grandson, Juan Vasquez; daughter –in-law, Rosemarie Becerra; brothers and sisters, Vicente Gonzalez, Magdelena Alfaro, Rita Gonzalez, Concepcion Correa, Luis Lira and Rodolfo “Rudy” Lira.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Saturday, April 14th and Sunday, April 15th from 2 - 8 p.m. where the rosary will be recited each night at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 11 am in St. Stephen’s Catholic Church where the family will receive friends from 10 -11 a.m. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park.
