ELSIE  M. (DIPPMAN) BONNER

Elsie M. Bonner, 85, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Maumee. She was born in Curtice, Ohio on October 18, 1928 to Henry I. and Lottie (Anderson) Dippman and was a 1946 graduate of Clay High School. In 1949 she graduated from Mercy School of Nursing and began her nursing career at Mercy Hospital. She transferred to St. Charles Hospital in 1953 and retired from St. Charles Hospital, surgery in 1988. She was a member of St. Ignatius Church since 1928 where she served as Past President and present member of the St. Ignatius Altar and Rosary Society. She was also a member of the Mercy Hospital Alumni and the St. Charles Auxiliary.

She is survived by her sons, Robert M. (Pam) Bonner of Polson, MT and David (Karen) Bonner of Perrysburg, Ohio; grandchildren, Kyle, Ashley, Kody, Micheala, Logan and Cale; sister-in-law, Josie Bonner; 9 nieces and 6 nephews along with many dear cousins and friends. Elsie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert in 2001; brother, Henry Dippman; sisters, Sr. Mary Theresa Dippman, RSM and Marcella Borck; brothers-in-law, Fred Borck and Donald Bonner.

Family and friends may visit on Sunday, December 29, 2013, from 2-8 p.m. in the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S Wynn Rd., Oregon where a Scripture Service will begin at 8:00 p.m., Sunday evening. Prayers will be recited at 10:15 a.m. on Monday in the funeral home with Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 11:00 a.m. at St. Ignatius Church, 212 N. Stadium Rd., Oregon. Burial will follow at St. Ignatius Cemetery.  Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider St. Ignatius Church.
