Elizabeth "Betty" Kinsey

Elizabeth Mary Kinsey, age 99, of Oregon, Ohio passed away on Monday, October 28, 2024 at Bay Park Community Hospital. She was born on September 22, 1925 in Toledo, Ohio to John and Elizabeth (Szor) Kaduk. Betty was a 1943 graduate of Waite High School. She married William Kinsey in 1952 and together they started their family. Betty worked as a salesclerk at LaSalle’s and Elder-Beerman at the Woodville Mall for many years. She was proud of her Hungarian heritage, enjoying cooking and baking Hungarian dishes. In her spare time, Betty loved to read and spend time with her family. She will be dearly missed.

Betty is survived by her children, Will Kinsey, Christopher Kinsey, Denise Kinsey, and Kim (Scott) Welch; granddaughters, Ashley (Matt) Mickelson, Chelsea (David) Lentz, and Jaclyn (Dylan) Kalvin; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Ethel Frankhouse; and special family friends, Meri Askins, and Lynda McCord. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Elizabeth Kaduk; husband, William Kinsey; infant daughter, Diane; her siblings, John Kaduk and Lola Erni; and daughter-in-law, Karen Kinsey.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Friday, November 1, 2024, from 10:00-12:00 p.m. where funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at North Oregon Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the Donor’s choice.
