Elaine Russ

Elaine Fern Russ, 89, of Oregon, Ohio passed away peacefully on Friday, November 12, 2021 at home surrounded by family.  She was born on March 14, 1932 in Oregon, Ohio to Preston and Emma Dearsman.  Elaine was a graduate of Clay High School.  She worked at Standard Oil/BP as a computer operator.  Elaine was a member of Christ United Methodist Church.  In her spare time, Elaine enjoyed quilting and bowling.  She will be dearly missed.

Elaine is survived by her children, John Russ, James (Colleen) Russ, Marilyn Russ, David (Tracy) Russ, Emma Poletti, and Maureen (William) Maag; grandchildren, Grace Russ, Sarah Russ, Zachary Russ, Alexander Maag, Corbin Russ and Carter Russ; and her sisters, Janice Ellis and Peggy Dearsman.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Harold; five sisters and one brother.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Friday, November 19, 2021, from 11-1:00 p.m. where funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m.  Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
