Elaine Susan Holcomb

Elaine Susan Holcomb, age 66, passed away at Bay Park Community Hospital on Tuesday, September 3, 2024. She was born in Oregon, Ohio on June 14, 1958 to Carl and Dolores (Kohl) Roberts.  Elaine was a 1976 graduate of Waite High School. She worked various jobs throughout her life but most recently worked as a receptionist for Channel 13 ABC for over 13 years.

Elaine was an artist and loved painting and creating arts and crafts.  She especially enjoyed making Christmas ornaments.  In 1998, she was invited to the White House by Mr. and Mrs. Clinton to transform it into a “Winter Wonderland” which ordained her handcrafted ornaments. Elaine loved her cat Max who was her companion in sickness and in health for eight years until her passing.

Elaine is survived by her sisters, Beverly Ryan, Judi Gears, and Darla Walz; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her infant son, Blake; her brothers, David and Daniel Roberts; and her brothers-in-law, Danny Gears, Dan Ryan, and Jeff Walz.  A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
