Eileen M. Gelacek, 88, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2016 at Mercy-St. Charles Medical Center. She was born in Oak Harbor, Ohio on August 17, 1927 to Richard and Minnie (Yauch) Zibbel and had been a loving wife to Leonard Gelacek who passed away July 11, 1989. For over 35 years, Eileen worked for Lakewood Greenhouse and in her spare time enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children, Robert (Cassandra) Gelacek, Sr., Daniel (Emma) Gelacek and SueAnn Gelacek; grandchildren, Angelene Virag, Robert Gelacek, Jr., Rachel (Nick) Hubley, Kari Gelacek, Kelly Gelacek, Kendra Harwood and Monica (Marty) Plumadore and great-grandchildren, Tony Leichty, Brianna Virag, Peyton Groves and Baylee Plumadore and brother, Willys Zibbel. Eileen was also preceded in death by her son, Jeff Gelacek.
Service will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to Little Sisters of the Poor or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
