EDWARD S. WILLMARTH
Edward S. Willmarth, 67, of Toledo, Ohio passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at the Toledo Hospital. He was born in Toledo to William and Mina (Roos) Willmarth and served our country in the U.S. Army during Vietnam being awarded the Bronze Star. For over 30 years he worked for General Motors retiring in 1998 and was a member of the UAW Local 12. Ed was a member of the VFW Maumee Valley Post 2510, Christ Dunberger Post 537 and the Dusters Quad and Search Lights D Btr 5/2. In his spare time, Ed enjoyed fishing, hunting and target shooting.
He is survived by his loving wife, Janice (Wiese) Willmarth; children, Commodore Jones, Patricia Jones, Mary Willmarth, William Willmarth, Heidi (Ken) Dunbar and Elizabeth (Terry) Mattox; 18 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Gloria Kellar; special niece, Laura (Matt) Watt and dear friend, Theo Heath from the Veterans Center. Ed was preceded in death by his parents; son, Joseph Willmarth and grandson, JR Hedrick.
Family and friends may visit from 2-8 p.m. on Sunday, January 26 , 2014 in the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon. Visitation will continue after 10 a.m. on Monday at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church where the Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Memorial contributions can be made to Prince of Peace Building Fund. The family wishes to thank Dr. Ruiz and all the ICU staff at The Toledo Hospital.
