Edward Lee Hart

Edward Lee Hart, age 83, of Millbury, OH, passed away surrounded by his family at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center on February 20, 2024. Ed was born in Toledo, OH to William and Helen (Gezo) Hart on March 9, 1940. He married the love of his life, Theresa, and together they watched their family grow and spent many happy years together until her passing in 2023. Ed enlisted in the US Army and honorably served his country in the Vietnam War. He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal. He took great pride in his service to his country and was a lifetime member of the Vietnam Veterans of America, active in VVA Chapter 35. Ed also enjoyed fly fishing, outdoor nature trails, bird watching, and was a lifetime member of the NRA. His greatest joy in life was his family, and he will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.

Ed leaves behind his children, Richard (Laura), Randall (Penny), Andrew (Jenny), and Amy (Kevin); his 13 grandchildren; his 10 great-grandchildren; his brother, David (Pat); his sister-in-law, Jeannie; his special cousins, George Hart, Brad Hart, and Kim Hart; and his dear friend, George Shaull. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Theresa, and his parents, William and Helen.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel , 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Friday, March 1, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. with the memorial service held at 12:00 p.m. Ed will be laid to rest at Lake Township Cemetery with his wife.
