Edward W. Gilbert, 60, of Toledo passed away at his home on Monday, March 3, 2014. He was born in Toledo on November 28, 1953 to Edward P. and Betty (Oberdier) Gilbert and attended Penta County Vocational School where he studied Automotive Repair. In his spare time, he enjoyed carving canes.
He is survived by his loving mother, Betty Miller; many siblings and dear family members. Ed was preceded in death by his father; son, Edward Berryhill; brother, Steve; sister, Susan and his grandparents.
Family and friends may visit after 9:00 a.m. on Friday, March 14, 2014 in the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon where a Memorial Service will begin at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at North Oregon Cemetery.
