Edward "Ed" Cousino, Sr.

Edward L. Cousino, Sr., age 79, of Oregon, Ohio passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at the Genoa Retirement Village.  He was born on January 13, 1942 in Toledo, Ohio to Ecter and Catherine Cousino.  Ed was a 1960 graduate of Clay High School and began his career at Toledo Edison right after graduation.  He held various positions over his 31-years, retiring in 1991.  Ed was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.  He was a member of Epiphany of the Lord Parish-St. Thomas Aquinas Church.  In his spare time, Ed enjoyed spending time with his family and attending his kids, and grandkids sporting events.  He will be dearly missed.

Ed is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Kathy Cousino; children, Ed (Kelly) Cousino Jr., Jim (Shelly) Cousino, Tony Cousino, and Jeff (Lisa) Cousino; grandchildren, Andrew, Tyler, Christopher, Hunter, Jake, and Tori.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and sisters, Eunice, Donna, and Kathleen.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Sunday, August 22, 2021, from 5-9:00 p.m. where the rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m.  The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Monday at Epiphany of the Lord Parish-St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, where family will greet guests after 9:00 a.m.  Burial will follow at St. Ignatius Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or Helping Hands of St. Louis.
