Eduardo G. Marroquin

Eduardo G. Marroquin, "Lalo", was 92 years old, and surrounded by his loving children, when he peacefully exhaled a final breath, in his home, in Toledo, OH on April 26, 2024.  On November 20, 1931, in Robstown, TX, Eduardo inhaled his very first breath as the first-born son to Guadalupe and Maria G. Marroquin. He met his wife, Francisca Treviño, in Traverse City, MI.  Eduardo was a self-taught, finishing carpenter retired from Ford Motor Company in 1993 after 25 years of service as a union worker.  He always loved God and family. Three weeks ago, was the last in-person service that he attended at Compassion Church of Toledo, OH.

Eduardo is preceded in death by his beautiful wife, Francisca T. Marroquin, his parents, Guadalupe and Maria Marroquin, his sisters, Consuelo Marroquin, Olivia Rios and Francisca Marroquin, a beloved son-in-law, Fidencio Parraz, and three, angel-baby grandchildren.  Eduardo is survived by his 11 children—Delilah Marroquin, Sylvia (John) Soto, Maria (Fidencio) Parraz, Gloria Marroquin, Cynthia Marroquin, Estela (Reynaldo) Garza, Dalia (Robert) Brandeberry, Eduardo (Rebecca) Marroquin Jr, Ida (Douglas) Bennett, Jesus (Gina) Marroquin and Jorge (Jennifer) Marroquin, and one brother, Juan Marroquin. He is also survived by 37 grandchildren, 72 great-grandchildren, 22 great great-grandchildren and 14 bonus grandchildren, all of whom he deeply loved.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 from 2-8:00 p.m.  Additional visitation will take place on Thursday from 9-10:30 a.m. with services to begin at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.  Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park.
