Edith "Edie" Rose Canales

Edith “Edie” Rose Canales, age 64 of Toledo, passed away on Friday, March 18, 2022 at St. Vincent Medical Center. She was born on March 25, 1957 in Toledo to Samuel and Emily (Cihla) Langlois.

Edie was a fun-loving family woman. She adored all of her grandchildren and liked teaching them how to play her favorite video games. She also liked to crochet and be outdoors. The swing in the backyard got a lot of use between her and Jimbo. Jimbo and Edie had spent over 20 years together and loved one another dearly.

Edie was a selfless woman who always put others before herself. She helped anyone however she could, and was the best care-taker. Even after her passing, she continued helping people by being a tissue donor through Life Connection of Ohio.

Edie is survived by her daughters, Stephanie (Richard Hill III) Hill, Stacy (Robert Hade, Sr.) Langlois; the love of her life, Jimbo; grandchildren, Conner Hill, Robert Hade, Kennith Hade, Kyle Hade, and Sarah Hade; 6 great-grandchildren; siblings, Margaret “Peggy” Thomson and Sue Rollins; sister-in-law Georgia Langlois; and brother-in-law, Melvin Yingling Sr. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Emily; brother Samuel Langlois, and sister, Norma Yingling. She will be dearly missed.
