Eddie Pierce, age 56, of Curtice, passed away Thursday, November 24, 2011 at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center. Eddie was born to Everett and Helen (Newton) Pierce February 15, 1955 in Oregon, Ohio. Eddie worked as an Equipment Operator for Martin Marietta Stone Quarry. He loved to ride around on his lawn mower and cut grass and he listened to K100 everyday. Eddie also enjoyed watching sports and keeping up with the Genoa Comets, Cleveland Browns, and Yankees. He was the kind of guy who always made sure you never went without anything,
Eddie is survived by his loving wife, Mary Pierce; children, Amanda Neer, Sarah (David) Hadley, Joshua Pierce, and Samantha Pierce; grandchildren, Logan and Trent Neer, and Colton Hadley; brothers and sisters, Ann (Jim) Witt, Everett (Ellen) Pierce Jr., Chris (Ray) Aldrich, Lee (Peg) Pierce, Kermit Pierce, Zellie Pierce, Fran (Kevin) McComas, Tom (Lori) Pierce, and Tammy (Bill) Sutter; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held at Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Sunday, November 27, 2011 from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. Funeral Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m.
