Earl C. Moore, 87, of Millbury, Ohio passed away on Monday, September 14, 2015 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio-Perrysburg Center. He was born on August 13, 1928 in Detroit, Michigan to Otto and Clarisa Moore. Earl served in the U.S. Army, during WWII where he was a heavy mortar gunner and paratrooper. After the war, he continued his service by joining the Civil Air Patrol in 1962. Earl worked in the Heating and Cooling Industry for many years.
He was a 50 year member of Paragon Lodge #788 F.&A.M. where he served as Past Master and member of the Advisory Board for the Order of DeMolay. He also was a past Patron and 50 year member of Lotus Chapter-Order of the Eastern Star. In his spare time, he enjoyed camping with his family and extensively researching genealogy on the Moore family. He will be dearly missed.
Earl is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Maxine; sons, Earl Jr. (Shari) Moore and Richard (Denise) Moore; grandchildren, Randy (Becky) Moore, Michael (Dawn) Moore, Sarah (Chris) Monto, Christie Moore, Cathie Moore and Jimmy Dumke; great-grandchildren: Katie, Joey, Kenny, Billy, Parker, Gavin, Morgan, Trenton, Nolan and Drew and his sister, Grayce Ellen Schumacher. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Paul, Arnold and Eddy.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Thursday, September 17, 2015 from 2-8 p.m. where Masonic services will be held at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at the Northwood Church of God, 3375 Curtice Rd. in Northwood where family will greet friends after 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Lake Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or Northwood Church of God.
