Drusilla (Dru) M. (Rossler) Brown age 88 of Oregon, Ohio passed away at home on Tuesday, June 25, 2024. Dru was born to Charles and Margaret on February 12, 1936, in Oregon, Ohio. She was a graduate of Clay High School and went on to work in several administrative assistant positions before retiring in 1991. She enjoyed playing bingo, relaxing at the beach, reading novels, knitting, baking and visits to the casino. Over many years she loved spending time with friends and family, including playing cards and watching her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a devoted wife, mother, Nana, and friend. Dru had the most positive spirit, leaning on her strong Faith even through the toughest times. She was known for having a great time wherever she went, a carefree spirit, and enjoying a good cocktail.
Dru is survived by her husband of 67 years, Kenneth Brown, children, Michelle (Michael) Brown and Nadine (J.R.) VanCamp; grandchildren, Jennifer (Derrick) Sanchez, Zachary (Kara) VanCamp, and Erin VanCamp (Robert Fox); and great-grandchildren, Brady, Ian, Preston Sanchez, and Millie VanCamp. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Edward Rossler, and daughter Denise Brown.
Friends may visit Freck Funeral Chapel in Oregon, Ohio on Friday, June 28, 2024, from 4 until 8 p.m. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday at St. Ignatius Catholic Church 212 North Stadium Rd. on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. where the family will receive friends one hour prior to Mass. Burial will follow in St. Ignatius Cemetery. Memorial Contributions are appreciated to either the TPS Foundation for the Ability Games or St. Ignatius Church.
