Dorothy M. Shively, 60, of Toledo, passed away Friday, June 6, 2014 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. She was born in Toledo on October 17, 1953 to Claude and T. Dorothy (Bachar) Cheatham and was a graduate of Waite High School. She worked as a bartender for many years in South Toledo and in her spare time she enjoyed crocheting, puzzle making, cooking and especially spending time with her grandkids.
Dorothy is survived by her children, Heidi (Rodney) Kirk, Heather Kirk, Kenneth Kirk and Frankie (Peggy) Thomas; 13 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; siblings, Sharon (Ron) Field, Claude, Jr. (Becky) Cheatham, Barb (Tom) Bihn and Danny (Tracy) Cheatham along with many dear nieces and nephews including her favorite niece, Trina “Gladys” and favorite nephew, J.C. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, James R. Cheatham and sister, Karen Moon.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 from 2-8 p.m. Burial will remain private. Memorial contributions can be made in Dorothy’s name to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
