Dora Jean Lewis, 55, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away after a brief illness Monday December 12, 2016 surrounded by her family. She left this earth to be with her Lord Jesus and her son, Nic. Dora was born to William and Judith (Nagy) Besgrove in Toledo, Ohio December 19, 1960. She graduated from Cardinal Stritch. She married her soul mate Michael on 11/10/79 and was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother always putting her family first. She played piano for her grandfather’s church Harbor View Missionary Baptist for many years.
Dora is survived by her husband, Michael of 37 years; daughters, Jillian (Kevin) Rowe, Jennifer and Jessica; 12 grandchildren; parents; sister, Deborah (Michael) Madson; sisters-in-law, Cheryl (Larry) Inskeep, Patti-Jo (Jim) Baker and Terri (Jim) Zemnicki; many nieces and nephews and her precious parakeet, Sammy. She was preceded in death by her son, Nic; grandparents, mother and father-in-law, and aunt, Barbara Pompos.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at the Freck Funeral Chapel from 3-5 p.m. where the Memorial Service will begin at 5:00 p.m. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions would be appreciated to the family.
