MADONNA “DONNA” JEAN (RODRIQUEZ) WEIS
Donna Weis, 69, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away at her home with her loving family by her side on Friday, October 12, 2012 after a long illness. She was born September 14, 1943 in Toledo and was a loving wife to James E. Weis whom she married on September 30, 1961. Her passion was her love for her husband, family and her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
She is survived by her loving husband, James Weis; children, Ann (Ernest, Jr.) Rice, Michael Weis and Darlene (Robert) Cummerow; grandchildren, Janelle Rice, Amanda (Mark) Berning, Robert, James and Sarah Cummerow, Kaitlyn, Seth and Kohl Weis; great-granddaughter, Hannah Berning; sisters, Linda, Barbara and Diane; and lifelong friend, Carolyn Bibbins.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd. Oregon, Ohio on Saturday, October 20, 2012 from 12-7 p.m. where a Memorial Service will begin at 7 p.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to A City on a Hill Teaching Center, 2180 Preston Parkway A-5, Perrysburg, Ohio 43551. The family wishes to thank all of Donna’s caregivers and a special thank you to her pastor, Rev. J. Todd Hostetler and her lifelong family physician and friend, Dr. Ed Young.
