Donna Jean Krego

Donna Jean Krego, 75, of Toledo, OH, unexpectedly passed away on September 18, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Toledo, Ohio, at Maumee Valley Hospital to Helen Ansted-Kutz and Norman Kutz on September 26, 1948. Although she loved cooking, baking, and taking walks with her dogs. Her pride and joy were her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She would share stories about them any chance she could. Donna was a collector by heart, then she worked at Morrow Plating with her sister Marlene by trade. Later, she was a caregiver at Sunshine Children's Home. She also volunteered for the Jerry Lewis MD Telethon. Donna was independent, strong, caring, and loving to all. Anyone who met her would tell you she was a light in the dark and could talk to you for hours.

Donna is survived by her sister, Marlene Stiltner; her brother, Jimmy Kutz; her four sons, Timothy Krego (Carrie), Gary Krego, David Krego (Cathrine), and Walter Krego (Rhonda); her grandchildren, Mackenzie Krego, Megan Krego, Devon Krego, Sean Keily, Bailey Lazaris, and Kasen Gogol; and her great-grandchildren, Kianna and Cayden Krego. She was preceded in death by her parents, Helen Ansted-Kutz and Norman Kutz; and her siblings, Norma Baldwin, Louis Kutz, Shirley Bancroft, Patricia Bucher, Richard (Dick) Kutz, Mildred Mates, and Norman Kutz Jr.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel , 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Friday, September 27, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. with a funeral service held at 1:00 p.m. Donna will be laid to rest at St. Ignatius Cemetery, Oregon, OH. Memorial contributions in her name may be directed to the Toledo Area Humane Society.
