Donald William Bryant, Sr.

Donald “Don” William Bryant Sr. passed away peacefully at his East Toledo home September 8, 2023.  He was born in Millbury, Ohio on February 2, 1944 to his parents Roy and Julia Bryant.  Don worked as a heavy machine operator for over 50 years; he was known as the "best" operator in the business.  Don had a strong work ethic, and he worked hard and provided for his family every day; he retired in 2014.  During his retirement he enjoyed watching his Detroit Tigers.  He also enjoyed and was passionate about duck hunting, teaching all those around how to respect and enjoy every aspect of the sport.

Don leaves behind his beloved wife of 56 years Betty Bryant, daughters, Jodi Gross (Jerry), Donita Otto (Tony), Dora Campbell (Gary) and son Donald Jr., (Aimee).   He has 19 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren and one great, great granddaughter; and, also his sisters, Shirley Knitz and Virgina Bryant.  He was preceded in death by his youngest daughter, Julia Bryant who passed away in 2021.  And, his parents, Roy and Julia Bryant, siblings Ruby, Elton, Eugene, Sandy, Jackie, Vivian.

Dad will be remembered for lots of things, but most of all his unconditional love of his entire family.  He was loved by all and will be missed terribly.  RIP Dad, we love you very much your family!
