Donald A. Thanasiu, Sr., age 82, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2013. He was born in Toledo on February 11, 1931 to John and Hazel Thanasiu and served our country in the U.S. Army. He was an avid OSU Buckeye fan and a supporter of all Ohio sports teams. He enjoyed the outdoors, taking walks, and watching Western shows on TV.
He will be forever remembered by his sons, Donald, Jr. (fiancée, Maureen Sheehy) and Mike (Ann), grandchildren, Donald III, Kyle, Jodi, Rubin, Michael II, Hailey, Serena and Elijah; great-grandchildren, Troy, Carysa, Zoey, Aaron, Marcus, Logan and Damian. Donald was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret (Bodnar) Thanasiu; parents; three brothers and one sister.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at 11 am at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 4155 Pickle Rd. Oregon, OH. Burial will remain private.
